The Name
The name ToyBoxOrphan has a long history attached to it. My friends and I love to play Mage: The Ascension (a Whitewolf RPG). In one of the best (and my personal favorite) games we ever played, our characters were all in a band together. The name of the band was ToyBoxOrphan. I chose the name for my domain in spring of 2003.
For anyone who plays Mage that might be interested, the game took place in New Orleans, Louisiana. I played an 8-year-old girl named Ğanisty who's avatar was formerly fae. She ran away from home because her parents were Technocrats that told her faeries didn't exist. Luckily, she was picked up by a blind violinist who takes care of her. She has developed a ridiculous crush on him in that cute way children do. Ğanisty and the rest of her band are orphan mages and belong to no group aside from the band. Ğanisty plays drums. Okay, maybe you really didn't want to know that much about a fictional character I made up...lol!
The Purpose
Originally, when I was only working on Mr. Saxophone, I didn't need a domain, Zonaxx from the Bebop Board gave me a subdomain and hosted me for free. When I started working on Worthy of Your Soul, I asked if he would continue to host me if I purchased a domain. He agreed and gave me some extra space too. Since then, he has been extraordinarly generous with the space he's given me. I decided I'd work on some more sites too, but I lost interest in most of them and I have new plans for the future. Don't worry, Mr. Saxophone is staying. I hope you'll enjoy my new projects.
